'ਅਰਮਾਨ' ਖੋਜ ਜਰਨਲ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਮਿਆਰ, ਮੌਲਿਕਤਾ, ਖੋਜ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਵ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ, ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ, ਤਰਕਾਂ, ਖੋਜ-ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ, ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ, ਸਾਰਣੀਆਂ, ਚਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਰੋਤ-ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਨਕਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਂ ਮੂਲ ਸਰੋਤ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਪੁਨਰ-ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।

Plagiarism in any form is considered a serious violation of academic and publication ethics. Plagiarism refers to presenting another person's ideas, words, arguments, research findings, data, tables, figures, or other intellectual and creative work as one's own without proper acknowledgement or citation. It also includes copying previously published material or reproducing its content without appropriately acknowledging the original source.

ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ | Major Forms of Plagiarism

ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੇਖਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ, ਵਾਕਾਂ, ਪੈਰਿਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਚਿਤ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਕਲ ਕਰਨਾ। Copying words, sentences, paragraphs, or substantial portions of another author's work without proper citation.
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੇਖਕ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ, ਤਰਕਾਂ, ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ, ਵਿਆਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਖੋਜ-ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਰੋਤ ਦਰਸਾਏ ਵਰਤਣਾ। Using another author's ideas, arguments, theories, interpretations, or research findings without acknowledging the original source.
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਮੂਲ ਸਰੋਤ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਣਾ (Paraphrasing without citation)। Paraphrasing another person's work without providing an appropriate citation to the original source.
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਣੀਆਂ, ਚਿੱਤਰ, ਫੋਟੋਆਂ, ਨਕਸ਼ੇ, ਗ੍ਰਾਫ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਰੋਤ-ਹਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਵਰਤਣਾ। Reproducing tables, figures, photographs, maps, graphs, or other materials from another publication without proper acknowledgement and permissions.
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ, ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ। Presenting another researcher's data, results, or intellectual contribution as one's own.
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਜਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਮਿਲਦੀ-ਜੁਲਦੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਿਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੋਤ-ਹਵਾਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਣਾ। Submitting previously published or substantially similar material for publication without appropriate disclosure and acknowledgement.
ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਰੋਤ-ਹਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਵਰਤਣਾ (ਆਤਮ-ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ / Self-Plagiarism)। Reusing substantial portions of one's own previously published work without proper citation or disclosure (Self-Plagiarism).

'ਅਰਮਾਨ' ਖੋਜ ਜਰਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹਰ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਅਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਪੀਅਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਠ-ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਉਚਿਤ ਜਾਂਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹੈ।
Every paper received for publication in the 'ARMAAN' Research Journal may undergo a proper plagiarism and textual similarity check process before or during the peer review process. The Editorial Board reserves the absolute right to thoroughly investigate any suspect paper.

'ਅਰਮਾਨ' ਖੋਜ ਜਰਨਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ (UGC) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ “ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਨਿਯਮ, 2018” (UGC Regulations 2018) ਦੇ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਾਠ-ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ:
'ARMAAN' Research Journal assesses textual equivalence keeping in view the criteria of “Regulations for Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Education Institutions, 2018” (UGC Regulations 2018) issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC):

ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ | Important Clarification on 10% Similarity

'ਅਰਮਾਨ' ਜਰਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ 10% ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਪਾਠ-ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਯੂ.ਜੀ.ਸੀ. ਦੇ ਉਕਤ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਾਮੂਲੀ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਲਿਕਤਾ, ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਚਿਤ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।

'ARMAAN' Journal accepts text similarity up to 10% as Level 0 (minor similarities) under UGC 2018 regulations. However, this must NOT be interpreted as permission to plagiarize. Every research paper must be original, properly referenced, and compliant with academic integrity.

ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟ (Exclusions from Similarity):
ਪਾਠ-ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਚਿਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ, ਹਵਾਲੇ (Quotes), ਸੰਦਰਭ-ਸੂਚੀ (References/Bibliography), ਵਿਸ਼ਾ-ਸੂਚੀ, ਭੂਮਿਕਾ/ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਮ ਜਾਂ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ ਯੂ.ਜੀ.ਸੀ. ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
During the textual equivalence check, properly cited material, quotes, references/bibliography, table of contents, introduction/acknowledgements and some common or standard vocabulary etc. may be excluded from the equivalence count as per UGC rules.

ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਫੈਸਲਾ | Editorial Decision

ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਕੇਵਲ ਪਾਠ-ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਤੀ, ਮਾਤਰਾ, ਸੰਦਰਭ, ਸਰੋਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸਹੀਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। The Editorial Board will not rely solely on the similarity percentage. The nature, context, source, and appropriateness of citations will be thoroughly evaluated.
ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਜਾਂ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਦੇ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਪਾਠ-ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤਤਾ ਘੱਟ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। If clear or deliberate plagiarism is identified, the manuscript may be rejected immediately, irrespective of the overall similarity percentage.
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਮਾਮੂਲੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਅਣਜਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉੱਥੇ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧ, ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। Where similarity is minor or stems from citation formatting errors, the paper may be returned to the author for revision and correction.

ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ | Plagiarism Discovered After Publication

ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਅਰਮਾਨ ਜਰਨਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਾਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ:
If plagiarism is discovered after a research paper has been published, the journal will investigate the matter in accordance with its publication ethics rules and applicable academic standards and may take one or more of the following actions:

ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ ਮੰਗਣਾ (Request formal explanation from the author). Requesting an official clarification and explanation from the researcher(s).
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਚਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸੋਧ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ (Publish Correction / Corrigendum). Publishing a formal correction, erratum, or editorial notice where appropriate.
ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਸੂਚਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨਾ (Issue an Expression of Concern). Issuing a formal expression of concern regarding the published article.
ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣਾ (Retract the published research paper). Formal retraction of the published research paper from the journal archive.
ਲੋੜ ਪੈਣ 'ਤੇ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਜਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ (Notify Institutional Authorities). Notifying the author's affiliated university, institution, or funding body.
ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਭੇਜਣ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ (Blacklisting / Suspension). Suspending or barring future manuscript submissions from the concerned author for a specified period.

ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ | Responsibility of Researchers

ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਖੋਜ 'ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੈ। The research paper is original and based on genuine, independent scholarly research.
ਵਰਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। All secondary and primary sources used in the paper are properly cited and referenced.
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ, ਸ਼ਬਦ, ਅੰਕੜੇ ਜਾਂ ਖੋਜ-ਨਤੀਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। No ideas, words, data, or findings of others are claimed or presented as the researcher's own work.
ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੈ। The manuscript is completely free from plagiarism and unethical recycling.
ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਯੂ.ਜੀ.ਸੀ. ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। The research paper complies strictly with UGC norms, research ethics, and academic integrity principles.
