ਸਮੀਖਿਅਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ | Reviewers’ Guidelines

• ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਗਿਆਤਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ। Read the title and abstract to determine whether the subject falls within their area of expertise.
• ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। Ensure that they can complete the review within the specified time.

• ਜੇ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਯੋਗ ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਝਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। Where appropriate, suggest the name of a qualified researcher in the relevant field to the Editor.
• ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਅਕ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। Do not transfer the review invitation directly to another person. The appointment of another reviewer rests solely with the Editor.

• ਸਿਰਲੇਖ, ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹਿੱਤ-ਟਕਰਾਅ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। Examine the title, authorship details, and acknowledgement section for any potential conflict of interest.
• ਜੇ ਲੇਖਕ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ, ਫੰਡਿੰਗ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਜਾਂ ਖੋਜ-ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਨਿੱਜੀ, ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਹਿੱਤ-ਟਕਰਾਅ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। Immediately inform the Editor if there is any personal, professional, institutional, or financial conflict of interest.

• ਜੇ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। Contact the Editor promptly if additional time is required to complete the review.

ਸਮੀਖਿਅਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਨਿਰਪੱਖਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ:
A reviewer should not review a paper if any circumstance could compromise impartiality:

• ਲੇਖਕ ਨਾਲ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਸੰਬੰਧ। Personal or professional relationships with the author(s).
• ਲੇਖਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਖੋਜ ਜਾਂ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਸਹਿ-ਲੇਖਕਤਾ। Recent collaboration or co-authorship with the author(s).
• ਉਸੇ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। Affiliation with the same institution as the author(s).
• ਖੋਜ-ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਜ-ਕੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਟਕਰਾਅ। Direct competition in the research area or significant overlap with the reviewer's own work.
• ਵਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਿੱਤ। Financial, commercial, or other personal interests.

* ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੀਖਿਅਕ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

A research paper received for peer review is a confidential scholarly document:

• ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ। Keep contents strictly confidential and do not share with any third party.
• ਲੇਖਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਵਰਤੇ। Do not contact the author(s) directly and do not discuss contents before publication.
• ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਅਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਜ ਜਾਂ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਲਾਭ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਵਰਤੇ। Do not use unpublished information for personal, academic, or professional advantage.
• ਸਮੀਖਿਅਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕਰਨਾ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਦੁਰਵਿਹਾਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। Impersonating another individual or conducting a review on behalf of another person is serious academic misconduct.

• ਸਮੀਖਿਅਕ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲੇਖਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। Reviewers must not contact the author(s) directly during or after the peer-review process.
• ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ, ਸਵਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। Any questions, clarifications, or ethical concerns must be communicated only to the Editor.

• ਨਿਰਪੱਖ, ਵਸਤੂਨਿਸ਼ਠ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਰਵੱਈਏ ਨਾਲ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। Evaluate the research paper objectively, impartially, and constructively.
• ਲੇਖਕ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ; ਅਪਮਾਨਜਨਕ, ਪੱਖਪਾਤੀ, ਤਾਨੇ-ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਗੈਰ-ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। Avoid personal criticism; refrain from offensive, discriminatory, sarcastic, or unprofessional language.
• ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਤਰਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਲਈ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। Base comments on academic reasoning and evidence, providing constructive suggestions for improvement.

• ਖੋਜ-ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ, ਮੌਲਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ। Academic significance, originality, and novelty of the research topic.
• ਖੋਜ-ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ, ਉਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਵਿਧੀ (Methodology) ਦੀ ਉਚਿਤਤਾ। Clarity of research questions, objectives, and appropriateness of methodology.
• ਅੰਕੜਾ-ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ, ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਕਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ/ਨਿਸ਼ਕਰਸ਼। Soundness of statistical analysis, reliability of data, and validity of conclusions.
• ਵਰਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਾਹਿਤ, ਸਰੋਤਾਂ, ਹਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦਰਭਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗਿਕਤਾ। Relevance, accuracy, and completeness of literature, citations, and references.
• ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ, ਸਿਰਲੇਖ, ਸੰਖੇਪ (Abstract), ਸਾਰਣੀਆਂ (Tables) ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਚਿਤਤਾ। Structure, length, suitability of title/abstract, tables, figures, and author guidelines adherence.

• ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ (Plagiarism), ਆਤਮ-ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ (Self-plagiarism), ਜਾਂ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਘੜੰਤ/ਹੇਰਾਫੇਰੀ (Data Fabrication/Falsification)। Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or fabrication/manipulation of data and research findings.
• ਦੋਹਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਦੁਹਰਾਈ ਗਈ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨਾ (Duplicate submission) ਜਾਂ ਝੂਠੀ/ਅਣਉਚਿਤ ਲੇਖਕਤਾ। Simultaneous submission elsewhere, duplicate publication, or disputed authorship.
• ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੰਕਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਬੂਤਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰੋ; ਲੇਖਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। Report all ethical concerns with evidence directly to the Editor; do not contact authors directly.

• ਸੰਦਰਭ ਸੂਚੀ (References) ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਹਵਾਲਿਆਂ (Citations) ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਲ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ। Verify that the reference list corresponds accurately with in-text citations.

• ਲੇਖਕ ਲਈ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ: ਸਪਸ਼ਟ, ਤਰਕਸੰਗਤ, ਸਬੂਤ-ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਹੋਣ। ਮੁੱਖ ਕਮੀਆਂ (Major) ਅਤੇ ਮਾਮੂਲੀ ਕਮੀਆਂ (Minor) ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। Comments for Authors: Must be clear, evidence-based, constructive, and organized into major/minor revisions.
• ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਲਈ ਗੁਪਤ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ: ਹਿੱਤ-ਟਕਰਾਅ, ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੰਕਾ, ਗੰਭੀਰ ਵਿਧੀਗਤ ਕਮੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ-ਯੋਗਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੁਪਤ ਸਿਫ਼ਾਰਸ਼ ਦਰਜ ਕਰੋ। ਲੇਖਕ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਲਿਖੋ। Confidential Comments to Editor: Enter sensitive concerns and confidential recommendations. • ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇਕਰ ਵਾਧੂ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰੋ। Complete reviews within the specified timeframe. Notify the Editor promptly if delays are expected.
• ਜਰਨਲ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਓ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਖਾਨੇ ਭਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। Submit reviews through the official submission system, ensuring all required fields are accurately completed.
